A formula for global success of Sandoz

Sandoz is a leading global supplier of high/quality generic pharmaceuticals. Sandoz operates worldwide in three business franchises – pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals and industrials products.

Previously, Sandoz was using disposable fibre drums with a volume of 80 and 150 litres for both transport and storage. Talking to Schoeller Arca Systems convinced the company to replace this one-way solution with a reusable packaging system that is safe and easy to both handle and maintain. Sandoz chose a MAGNUM foldable large container with smooth walls, with an optional sealed lid, which was filled with a plastic `Big Bag` containing smaller bags of intermediates for pharmaceutical active ingredients.

Sandoz is satisfied with the MAGNUM. High stability, easy handling and the possibility to save transport costs when returning the empty boxes are the main advantages.
