Safe, stackable and compatible pallet for Faurecia

Faurecia is a world leading automotive supplier with 160 units in 28 countries. Like the rest of the automotive business they invested in Returnable Transport Packaging (RTP) to satisfy industry requirements.

Originally Faurecia used large numbers of both plastic and wooden pallets but recognized the need to seek a new pallet that satisfied increasingly stringent demands for greater safety and lower costs. Other requirements of the new packaging solution were a racking load up to 500 kg, compatible with crates and covers and the existing handling and storage provisions.

Schoeller Arca Systems recommended the BiPP 1210 HR 3R II and BiPP 1208 HR 3R II, both heavy duty pallets with flat racking load capacities up to 1000 kg.

Financially the BiPP heavy open deck pallets have performed outstandingly. Goods have been more secure within the pallet leading to a decrease in the number of damaged goods in transport and a reduction in rejected deliveries. The longer product life span resulted in reduced needs for product replacements.

Overall, Faurecia has seen a reduction in its total pallet expenditure due to an increase in quality and decrease in overall cost.
